USC Police Shoot Suspect Near Campus

LOS ANGELES − University of Southern California (USC) Department of Public Safety officers opened fire on a robbery suspect near campus early Wednesday morning. The suspect sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

The suspect approached two male and two female USC students and demanded their property, the Daily Trojan reports. The female students handed over their property and the suspect ran through a parking lot, where he was confronted by officers.

The two male students ran after the suspect and directed nearby Los Angeles Police Department officers to the scene, where another suspect was waiting in a car.
