University of Chicago Police Investigate Possible On-Campus Arsons

CHICAGO, University of Chicago officials believe several small fires were intentionally set in various campus buildings on Nov. 13 and 14.

Only modest damage resulted from the fires, and there were no injuries. Campus police and state arson investigators are investigating the blazes.

According to a press release, three of the fires occurred within less than an hour of each other on Nov. 14 in adjacent buildings.

The university sent an E-mail to students seeking information about the fires and urging caution.
