A University of Arkansas employee has been charged with felony rape after allegedly raping a female student at the school’s residence hall on Sept. 4.
The suspect, 38-year-old Avery Scott, told prosecutors that the female victim was drunk and asked him for help in returning to her room, according to 4029tv.com. Scott told police he did have sex with the student and violated housing policies.
Residents and employees are required to use a keycard to access the university’s dorms.
