University Adds Hundreds of Security Cameras to Campus

THIBODAUX, La. — Nicholls State University is adding hundreds of security cameras to its campus as a way to increase security.

There are 157 cameras installed so far, and the university hopes to have 350 installed by the end of the year, the Daily Comet reports. Cameras have been installed in common areas and residence hall corridors, cash-collection points and more.

The cameras can be used to monitor live situations and record up to two weeks of video.
