UNCC Police Jurisdiction Expanded

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) Police Department’s responsibilities have been expanded so it will be responding to more calls in north Charlotte.

Although the agency has been responding to calls in UNCC’s immediate vicinity, it now will handle emergencies in more neighborhoods, as well as those at the Carolinas Medical Center-University. The new policy will help the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department when it is overloaded.
