UCLA Dorm Sexual Assault Suspect Apprehended

The suspect was arrested just before 11 p.m. on the same day as the assault.

LOS ANGELES – A man was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a female student living in a University of California, Los Angeles residence hall.

The alleged assault happened early Friday morning as the woman was sleeping in her bed at the Saxon Residential Suites. It’s unclear how the suspect was able to gain entrance to the building.

The suspect has been identified at 41-year-old Jeffrey Brewer, reports ABC7. He was apprehended by UCLA police just before 10 p.m. the same day as the assault.

Immediately after the assault, the victim received medical treatment at the scene, reports CBS News.
