U. of South Ala. Student Stabs Roommate 25 Times

MONILE, Ala. — University of South Alabama (USA) police are investigating a homicide that took place in a dorm room on July 10. A student was taken into custody after calling campus police after the stabbing.

University officials said Brandon Ashkan Ajizadeh admitted to the stabbing when he was questioned, WLOX reports. The victim, the suspect’s friend named Franklin Dean, was not a USA student. He was stabbed 25 times, according to WKRG.

Ajizadeh is claiming he acted in self defense, saying Dean attacked him with a knife while making sexual advances toward him. An attorney for the defendent claims he grabbed the knife so he could get out of the room.
