ANN ARBOR, Mich. — University of Michigan Hospital waited six months to report an incident in which a resident physician discovered a flash drive containing a photo of nude adult lying on a young child who appeared to be tied to a bed frame.
Stephen Jenson, a former resident at the hospital, has been charged with four counts of possessing child sexually abusive material, AnnArbor.com reports. Last May, another resident found the flash drive containing the photographs in a hospital computer; one document on the drive had Jenson’s name on it.
The hospital is conducting an internal review to determine why officials waited until Nov. 21 to report the incident to police.
