LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Thunderstorms and heavy rain caused flash flooding at the University of Louisville Tuesday.
During the storm, lightning struck a privately owned apartment complex on the edge of campus, starting a fire, The Gleaner reports. University officials were working with the complex to find new housing for students displaced by the fire.
The university’s chemistry building was hardest hit with four inches of water in the basement.
