U. of Fla. Student Dead After Stadium Fall

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — A University of Florida student fell from the upper level of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Sunday in what appears to be a suicide.

Michael Richard Edmonds Jr., 26, died despite witnesses’ efforts to revive him, the Orlando Sentinel reports. The stadium was open at the time.

Court records indicate that Edmonds was arrested Saturday on a DUI charge.
