TOLEDO, Mich. – One day after his mother fled from Toledo Hospital with her infant son, authorities found two-day-old Noah Badenhoop with his parents in Saginaw, Mich.
Margaret Badenhoop gave birth to her son on July 19 at Toledo Hospital. The next day, children’s protective services from Saginaw County asked Lucas County Children Services to speak with the mother. According to Sergeant Wauford of the Toledo Police, Margaret and her husband Fred were afraid that Saginaw children services would take their baby from them. So a few hours later, the couple left the hospital with their baby in tow.
The hospital originally reported the dual disappearance of mother and child as an abduction. Saginaw authorities found the family at 7 p.m. on July 21.
The baby has been taken into protective custody, and Toledo police issued warrants charging the parents with child endangering.
