Texas Bus Driver Fired for Mocking Crying Student

An on-board camera caught a Floresville Independent School District bus driver mocking one of her student riders, who was crying, and encouraging other students to chime in.

SAN ANTONIO – An on-board camera caught a Floresville Independent School District bus driver mocking one of her student riders and encouraging other students to chime in.

The video shows the unidentified bus driver chastising a student who was riding on the bus, calling the child a “crybaby,” ABC News reports.

Footage, which was recorded in late February or early March, shows the driver urging other students to join in with the bullying.

“Ready?” she asked the students. “Cry … cry … cry … I want my mama.”

Parents were horrified when they saw the video and noted that if bullying is not allowed at school, it should not be allowed on the bus.

Sherri Bays, superintendent for Floresville ISD, stated that the driver’s behavior was unacceptable. The driver is no longer employed with the district.
