Texas Tipster Program To Be Expanded

CORPUS CHRISI, Texas – The successful Campus Crime Stoppers program will be expanded to include all Nueces (Texas) County middle schools and high schools.

The program currently operates in Corpus Christi, Four Bluff, Calallen, West Oso and Tuloso-Midway, and will most likely be expanded to include Robstown, Agua Dulce, Banquete, Dirscoll, Bishop and London school districts.

According to Corpus Christi Independent School District police, the student club has helped them reduce the rate of crime in area schools.

Campus Crime Stoppers encourages students to provide tips on bomb threats, thefts, vandalism, drugs and weapons. Anonymous tipsters can provide information 24 hours per day, seven days per week. If a tip leads to an arrest, the student who provided the information is eligible to receive a $300 reward.
