Texas House Approves School Safety Measures

AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas House of Representatives has tentatively approved the installation of automated external defibrillators (AED) at every school in the state.

The bill, which came from the Senate, would also place AEDs at athletic events and practices. The move comes is in response to several student athlete deaths.

Another bill was also approved that would require lap-shoulder seat belts on new school buses.
