Texas Center for Grants Development (TCGD) announces the launch of its new website, www.texasctrgrants.org. The Web site features information about grant workshops or Webinars and grant resources and products, including membership benefits.
TCGD provides specialized, fee-based grant services for school districts, nonprofits, higher-learning institutions and community-based organizations.
In the past six years, TCGD generated over $90 million in grant funding for the Houston-area community, serving over 600 clients and providing more than 1,100 grant-related services and products. TCGD is a service of Harris County Department of Education’s Resource Development division. The center was created in 2007 as an expansion of scope of work and delivery of grant services through its staff of seven grant professionals.
“With the launch of our new website, we provide updates about workshops and services while keeping a pulse on best practices in grant services,” said TCGD Director Gayla Rawlinson. Rawlinson’s experience includes 17 years of experience in organizational assessment, grants development, program management, implementation and evaluation.
“Organizations can save substantial time- and cost-savings by using our grant team’s combined 50-plus years of grant-services expertise,” said TCGD Manager Vida L. Avery, who helped develop TCGD and now manages its grant-related services. Avery’s background includes experiences in grant development, philanthropy, grant programs and evaluation. She also co-authored “Race, Gender and Leadership in Nonprofit Organizations.”
