Tennessee School District to Renovate Elementary School Entrances

A Tennessee school board has approved the renovation of the main entrances at all three of its elementary schools.

Maryville City Schools in Tennessee will create secure entrances at all three of its elementary schools this summer.

The Maryville Board of Education approved $470,000 for the construction project at a meeting on March 24. Crews will begin work on the eight-week project May 22, according to thedailytimes.com.

Sam Houston Elementary will cost the most to renovate at $227,000, then John Sevier Elementary at $152,500 and Foothills Elementary at just $69,000. Foothills is projected to be significantly cheaper because crews will be constructing a wall to funnel visitors into the main office.
