Tennessee High School Student Fatally Shot

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot by a classmate at Central High School cafeteria Aug. 21. Both the victim and the suspect knew each other, according to police.

Police discovered the suspect on a nearby street, minutes after he shot the victim. He was immediately taken into custody. The school was placed on lockdown, and classes were dismissed for the day. No other students were injured in the incident.
