A teenage boy who dressed in a lab coat and carried a stethoscope around St. Mary’s Medical Center for weeks will not be charged for impersonating a doctor, West Palm Beach police and hospital administrators agreed.

Security officers noticed the boy walking around the hospital but believed he was a doctor, as he was wearing a lab coat with the hospital’s logo and “anesthesiology” stitched on the front, hngn.com reports.

Police were called after a patient in the hospital’s OB/GYN office said a doctor in the exam room looked like a “a child.”

The boy’s mother said he is under the care of a doctor for an undiagnosed illness. The teen is also refusing to take medication.
