Sworn Hospital Officer Starting Pay
Compared to the results from our 2011 salary survey, more novice sworn officers who work at hospitals are now making more than $30,000 per year. In 2011, only 53% of them made that amount. This year, 61% of starting hospital sworn officers make more than $30,000.
That being said, fewer sworn officers make more than $40,000 per year when they start (21% in 2011 compared to only 12% in 2015). The percentage who make more than $35,000 also decreased from 37% in 2011 to 32% in 2015. The median starting salary for hospital sworn officers is $31,750.
