Students Sent Home for ‘Gang Related’ Justin Bieber Shirts

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Four students from Roosevelt High School were sent home after school officials determined that their Justin Bieber t-shirts were gang related. The students were told that if they wore the shirts to school again, they would face suspension.

The four girls had painted “Bieber Crew” on black t-shirts because they were going to the theater after school to see “Justin Biber: Never Say Never,” Sify News reports. The girls were stopped by school security guards who deemed the shirts to be gang related; the school principal agreed.

Parents of the students told the news source that they felt that the school’s reaction to the shirts was “over the top.”
