A 15-year-old California teen was booked August 19 after police say he showed a campus security guard a realistic looking gun in his waist band.

The student, who was later found to have only an airsoft pistol, also threatened the guard by asking “You want some of this?” before the guard fled, according to fresnobee.com.

The incident occurred on the Hoover High School campus in Fresno and prompted a search of nearby neighborhoods.

Officers thought they were looking for a boy with a Beretta pistol, but when they found him roughly three hours later he asked officers not to shoot him. The parts of the gun indicating it was fake had been taken off.
