State Colleges Also Affected By NU Hacking
LINCOLN — A computer security breach at the University of Nebraska (NU) also affected the records of the Nebraska State College System.
The hacking affected records from Chadron State, Peru State and Wayne State Colleges, the World-Herald Bureau reports. The state college data system does not hold students’ bank account or credit card numbers, according to Stan Carpenter, chancellor of the state college system.
Officials were notified this past Wednesday that state colleges were part of the breach discovered by NU on May 23.
