Stanley Security Announces Grant for Higher Ed Institutions

Six winners will receive products, services and training on threat assessments and Clery compliance.

Stanley Security’s Together for Safer Schools Grant Program for higher education is now open. The grant will award winning schools a share of at least $500,000 in Stanley Security installed products and services. Both public and private colleges and universities are eligible to win.

Winners will also receive consultative security services, access to Stanley Security’s Software Solutions Group (SSG) and seminars for school officials on security threat assessment and advanced Clery Act training offered by D. Stafford & Associates.

Between Oct. 7 and Nov. 18, campus decision makers may nominate their schools by visiting the grant website. Starting Jan. 19 and running through Feb. 12, 2015, students, faculty, administrators and members of the campus community can vote for their school daily via the voting website, SMS text messaging or Twitter. Colleges and universities with the first and second-most votes across three tiers of campus size – under 8,000 students, between 8,000-19,999 students and over 20,000 students – will be selected as grant winners. Six winners will be announced in total on March 3, 2015.
