The University of West Georgia recently invested in security upgrades on its campus.

Many of UWG’s security upgrades are being paid for by a grant from the Stanley Security “Together for Safer Schools Grant Program,” which provides grant winners access to the integrator’s consultative security services, turnkey installations, access to its Software Solutions Group (SSG) and seminars for school officials on security threat assessment and advanced Clery Act training by D. Stafford & Associates.
It was the entire campus community and UWG’s all-encompassing approach that ultimately won UWG a portion of the monies from the grant program. Many stakeholders at the university, especially students, worked diligently to win the award.
The funds will be used by UWG primarily for video surveillance, access control and security lighting.
