Congratulations to Mark Reed, Director of Campus Support Operations at the City of Hope, for being named one of this year’s higher education and healthcare Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.

Some of his notable achievements include:

  • Implemented a formalized healthcare-specific training program that includes IAHSS’ basic training and certification, supervisor/management training, and Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) training.
  • Improved his organization’s ID credentialing, key, and access control programs.
  • Implemented a maintenance strategy, which resulted in a 40% decrease in security operations center alarms.
