Spanish Police Foil Columbine-Type Plot Targeting University
MADRID – Spanish authorities have seized more than 300 pounds of bomb-making materials after arresting a 21-year-old man on Thursday. In his diary and blog he said he admired the perpetrators of the 1999 Columbine High School attacks, which killed 12 students and one teacher.
Police believe he planned to plant bombs around a university campus, reports the Associated Press. They also say he attempted to purchase guns for the attack but was unable to do so. He then opted to use explosives.
