Show Off Your Dispatch Centers and Emergency Operations Centers

Campus dispatch centers are the heart of any university, hospital or school district security technology program. They handle 9-1-1 calls, as well as calls for service. Officers monitor security camera footage at these public safety nerve centers. And let’s not forget that they also manage the organization’s access control and alarm systems.

Emergency operations centers are vital when campuses are experiencing disasters or high-profile events. This photo (left) shows UCLA’s designated emergency operations center.

If your institution has a dispatch center or emergency operations center, show off your campus’ preparedness by E-mailing us your images of the equipment and the personnel staffing these vital areas.

Send your photos, along with a brief description of the equipment and names of staff who work in your dispatch center or emergency operations center to Campus Safety Executive Editor Robin Hattersley Gray at Robin.Gray@bobit.com. Be sure to put in the E-mail subject line “Dispatch Photos”.

You, your staff and your department’s dispatch or emergency operations center just might appear on www.campussafetymagazine.com!
