A central Iowa high school football coach was shot and killed on June 24 after a gunman entered the campus’ weight room and opened fire. No students were injured.
The Aplington-Parkersburg High School coach was taken to a Waterloo hospital before being pronounced dead. The alleged shooter was later arrested and held at the Butler County jail, according to the Associated Press.
According to reports, about 50 students were at the school when the shooting took place.
