SESSHC & IAHSS Conference Starts Sept. 5

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Southeastern Safety & Security Healthcare Council (SESSHCC) and the North Carolina chapter of the International Association for Healthcare Safety & Security (IAHSS) will converge for the third time at their annual joint education conference Sept. 5-8 in North Myrtle Beach, S. C.

Nearly 100 attendees are expected for the three-day event where healthcare security, safety and police personnel will network with peers and learn from national and regional experts in the field of healthcare safety and security. Nationally renowned presenters will include Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, John B. Rabun, Jr.; street gang expert, Detective Hunter Glass; and United States Secret Service Special Agent in Charge Neal J. Dolan.

“We are very pleased to have a conference agenda filled with experts on current topics that everyone in our field, regardless of the size of the healthcare organization, confront on a regular basis,” commented Lisa Pryse, president of SESSHCC and chief of WakeMed Campus Police. “New equipment, techniques and tactics are necessary to keep our campuses safe and this conference is a perfect venue to share ideas and issues.”
