WOODBURY, N.J. – A man has died after he walked into Inspira Medical Center and shot himself in the head.
The 26-year-old, whose name has not been released, walked into the lobby of the emergency room on March 20 around 11:41 a.m., NJ.com. It is unclear why the man shot himself.
Police secured the hospital soon after the incident and the gun was recovered. The hospital was not placed in lockdown and no evacuations took place.
No one from the hospital was in danger or injured. The emergency room stayed open was fully operational after the incident.
