MORRISTOWN, N.J. – A Morristown Medical Center security officer helped deliver a baby in the hospital’s parking lot.
Mary Gail Cespedes and Roby Mendoza were on their way to the hospital to have their baby. However, Cespedes could not get out of the vehicle because she was in so much pain, the Daily Record reports.
Mendoza frantically hit the call button outside the hospital to receive help. Sgt. Nicolette Frangipane immediately rushed to the scene, helping to deliver baby Zoey, a six-pound, 14-ounce infant who was born in her parents Honda Odyssey at 2:06 a.m. on July 22.
Frangipane had recently completed an emergency medical technician course offered by Atlantic Training Center.
