Security Guard Resigns After Leaving Gun at Texas School

FORT WORTH, Texas — McLean Middle School went into lockdown on Friday after a Fort Worth Police officer discovered a gun in a teacher’s restroom that belonged to a security guard monitoring the campus.

The guard, who remains unidentified, was picking up cafeteria money when the police officer found the weapon. The man was employed with Trinity Armored Security, which does not issue guns to its workers, the Star Telegram reports.

The employee resigned Friday afternoon.
