DALLAS—A former security guard at North Central Medical Plaza, accused of hacking into the hospital’s computers, posted his activities on YouTube.
Jesse McGraw, 25, pleaded guilty to two counts of transmitting malicious code, reports PCWorld.com. One video shows McGraw pretending to break into the hospital, saying he has “infiltrated a very large corporate office.” He then installs a botnet code on a nurse’s station computer. McGraw, a member of the hacking group Electronik Tribulation Army, was planning to distribute a denial-of-service (DDoS) attack on July 4, 2009; however he was arrested days before the incident could take place.
The suspect is said to have broken into more than 14 computers.
He faces up to 10 years in prison on each of the two counts. His sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 16.
