Security Cameras Catch Hospital Worker Choking Child

A health-care technician at a North Carolina state mental hospital was fired and arrested after being caught on video choking a child. The hopsital released a report on Oct. 16 detailing the incident.

Ronald Williams, 49, has received a misdemeanor charge for assault on a handicapped person. He was arrested on Sept. 17 after the child said Williams had assaulted him four days earlier following an argument, reported The News & Observer.

According to the Central Regional Hospital’s report, the video surveillance confirms the victim was choked and pushed in the chest by the employee.

According to The News & Observer, court records show Williams has faced criminal charges on several occasions, including arrests in the past 10 years for assault with a deadly weapon, marijuana possession, resisting a public officer, possession of stolen goods, obtaining property by false pretenses and communicating threats.
