Safety Workshops Provided by ENMU

PORTALES, N.M., Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) police officers, counselors and self-defense experts held personal safety workshops the week of Nov. 7. The training sessions were held in response to two recent sexual assaults involving female students.

The workshops were intended to help protect students from assaults and to address campus safety concerns.

There have been two recent reports of assaults off campus – one taking place on Oct. 6 and the other on Nov. 2. Both incidents are being investigated, but officials do not believe they are related.
