MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Grand Strand Regional Medical Center (GSRMC) will now require visitors to get a photo identification badge when they come to the hospital as a way to enhance security.
Visitors will be required to show their government-issued ID to hospital staff members when they arrive at the facility. Hospital employees will then take a photo of the visitor, and will save the image and a copy of the ID in the GSRMC’s database.
Additionally, hospital officials have added more lighting, cameras and emergency call boxes as part of the security upgrade.
