Watch: Rowdy Rutgers Shindig Leads to Multiple Arrests
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — An out of control, off-campus block party led police to arrest several Rutgers University students on Saturday.
During the party, dubbed “Delafest,” partygoers were drinking, breaking bottles and burning furniture in the Delafield Street area. To clear the scene, police sprayed some students with pepper spray and arrested others for disorderly conduct or simple assault, WABC reports.
Delafest is in response to “Rutgersfest,” a block party that university officials canceled because of its rowdy nature.
