Robbery Suspects Flee on to New York Hospital Campus, Apprehended

NEW YORK – The Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) and nine schools were shut down June 20 when two suspected bank robbers led police on a high-speed chase.

According to Newsday.com, the two suspects drove into NUMC’s parking garage and fled on foot. One suspect was found hiding under a car. Police had to search the hospital floor by floor for the second suspect. The hospital was locked down for more than three hours. East Meadow High School was locked down for about a half an hour.
