RENO, Nev. -Washoe Medical Center is reorganizing its security department in a move that management says will enable it to focus more on patient service.
The department, in hopes of doing away with its “law enforcement style,” has fired 17 employees. These employees will be allowed to apply for positions within the new department and given preference if they qualify. If they are rehired, they will retain their seniority.
