Primo Wind’s EnergiPlant Solution for Campus Security, Lighting and Data Needs

EnergiPlant is a free standing micro wind system that combines wind, solar and batteries to provide security, lighting and WiFi.

Primo Wind, a micro wind systems provider, introduces EnergiPlant, a patented, self-contained nano-grid for security, lighting and data.

EnergiPlant is free standing and combines wind, solar and batteries to provide security, WiFi, lighting and charging for phones and tablets. It provides area security with both low light LED lighting as well as motion-operated bright lit LEDs, according to the company.

It can also include security cameras that feed in real time, are motion started and have alarms if tampered with.

EnergiPlant comes with benches that offer the opportunity for advertising along the bottom, similar to bus benches. The bench tops are made with splinter-proof hardwood and require no maintenance.

EnergiPlant does not require foundation or hard wiring and is 100% powered by clean, renewable energy. No permitting is needed as it is low voltage and it takes only a few hours to install. Installations can be permanent or temporary, such as for a community event.

Since it uses renewable power, it qualifies for LEED points and for PACE financing. It has been installed at UC San Diego and Creighton University.
