Here are two examples of poor CPTED. On the left, a storage container makes it easy for people to hop over the fence and enter campus. Officials should always be mindful of putting things against fences that could offer easy access points. On the right, the fence is too close to the roof of the building and could allow people access to the roof. We’ll look more at fences in the next slide.
