Prairie Bible Institute Upgrades Security After Intruder Arrest

Police arrested a man who broke into dorm rooms at the college and asked students for sexual favors.

CALGARY, Alberta, Canada – Prairie Bible Institute has ramped up its security after a man broke into dorm rooms and asked students for sexual favors.

Surveillance cameras captured Renie Gall, 33, roaming the dormitory hallway. He allegedly entered several dorm rooms on August 17 and woke students up by shaking their legs, Calgary Sun reports.

Gall turned himself into authorities on August 18 after surveillance footage circulated.

Gall has been charged with one count of break and enter, six counts of sexual assault and one count of theft under $5,000.

Meanwhile, campus officials have added a second security staffer to its night patrol routine. The security team will be expected to secure ground floor windows on dorms.

Additionally, the school plans to add peepholes and security chains on dorm room doors and more accessible contact information for students in case of an emergency.
