Michigan police have arrested three teens on charges that they were planning to shoot up two schools in their area.
Ryan Stevens, 18, and two 15-year-olds are being charged as adults after Argentine Township police investigated a report that the three boys were planning to conduct school shootings on Oct. 30, according to wsmh.com.
A school resource officer was made aware of the alleged plot on Oct. 28 after someone reported a suspicious post on Instagram. The police filed a 24-page report on their ensuing investigation and the teens were charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree premeditated murder and false report or threat of terrorism. More charges may be filed as the ongoing investigation has been turned over to the FBI.

The shooting plot targeted Linden High School and Linden Middle School, which are both part of the Linden Community School District about 55 miles northwest of Detroit.
Police say Stevens is a former Linden student but declined to release details about the other suspects.
