LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man impersonating a University Hospital employee has been charged with criminal trespassing and giving police a false name or address.
Police found 52-year-old Patrick Campbell inside an employee-only elevator on the eighth floor of the facility after security personnel informed them of Campbell’s suspicious behavior. The suspect, who had several ID badges attached to his shirt, gave authorities a false date of birth. Later, after searching a national database, police confirmed Campbell’s accurate information.
It is unclear why Campbell was at the hospital.
Additionally, authorities discovered that Campbell has impersonated hospital employees in the past. Last month, the suspect was arrested at Norton Hospital after he was found wearing a lab coat, scrubs and a face mask. During that incident, he told police that he was homeless and was looking for a secure place to stay.
