WINTERVILLE, N.C. — Pitt Community College police moved into their new 3,000-square-foot facility on July 16, leaving behind a single-wide trailer that had served as the department’s headquarters for almost 20 years.
The new headquarters features a processing area, interview room, locker room and offices for the department’s chief, captain and sergeant, The Daily Reflector reports. Also, each officer has a work station and computer access.
The building has made it easier to serve students registering for parking passes and student ID cards, according to PCC Police Chief Alan Edwards.
