HUNTINGDON, Penn. – The board of the J.C. Blair Hospital auxiliary will spend $29,000 to partially pay for the purchase and installation of a pediatric security system.
The system, which will be located on the first floor of the hospital, will monitor the locations of pediatric patients. If a child leaves the pediatric floor without consent, staff will immediately be alerted and the floor will be locked down.
A similar system was installed in the hospital’s maternity ward last year.
