Pennsylvania High School To Issue Access Cards

Published: July 14, 2006

YORK, Pa- Students at William Penn Senior High in York will soon be required to wear identification badges.

The purpose of the badges will be to help teachers decide who is actually a student and who is attending without permission.

According to school officials, the extra security will help prevent violent confrontations that arise from outside sources. The system is currently in review while school board members decide on which model to purchase.
