Patient Stabs Security Guard in Houston ER

A Methodist Hospital security guard was stabbed inside an emergency room by a patient on Jan. 1.

Ronald D. Wooten, 30, allegedly attacked Jeffery Poke with a knife. Wooten was restrained by hospital staff until police arrived on scene. Poke was treated and listed in good condition, reports The Houston Chronicle.

Wooten has been charged with one felony count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He remains in the Harris County jail on $30,000 bail.
