Patient Stabs Nurse at Fla. Hospital

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A female patient at Lee Memorial Hospital faces assault charges for stabbing a nurse because the patient thought the hospital staff was plotting to kill her.

When a nurse tended to Linda Eason, 65, on Oct. 12, she allegedly stabbed the medical care provider in the chest. Eason told investigators that she overheard staff saying they were going to “take care of her,” which she took to mean they were going to kill her, so she wanted to prepare herself, reports News-press.com.
