PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — A man brought to the Desert Regional Medical Center emergency room by police for a psychiatric evaluation escaped custody and found his way into the hospital’s air conditioning system.
The man was taken to the hospital by police after they responded to a call Sunday that he was on the roof of a home yelling, The Desert Sun reports. Later that day, hospital security contacted police to say the man had walked away and was in the east tower.
